Aventurine Dream

About this design:

I love the stones in this design. Once again, very simple, it's beginner Bree here. I am going to pull it apart though and add some more sterling silver 2mm beads either side of the green snake skin horse eyes.

Components:

Green Snakeskin, Green Aventurine, and Sterling Silver

Oh Bree this is absolutely gorgeous. I love it. Now there you go a work of art. The stones are wonderful together, the silver is a good compliment to these stones. I like the smaller beads in the back at the neckline. Into my favorites. Happy beading Bree. Now I really have to get on the ball. LOL

I agree with everyone … beauty in simplicity. Think for a bit before you take it apart to add more silver. It is so beautiful the way it is. I had a painting teacher once who said to always be on the lookout (when painting) of “too much muchness.” I have never forgotten that, and it is still something I remember whether I’m making jewelry, doing a drawing or trimming my tree … many applications for a wonderful phrase.

    Your piece is gorgeous!

I AGREE too!!! And if a person wants to, they can add a brooch to add that something extra special, but, still have a simple necklace when they want!!! Thats even something you could do, you can find very reasonable brooches at resale shops, just an idea!!! LOL……………I’m just brain-storming here!!! I LOVE your Combination!!!

You do have a way with the green snake skin. You have made me realize it is much more versatile than I thought. Just put your necklace away for a week where you can’t see it then take it out and you will be able to see what you really have. If you try to evaluate it too soon all you can see are the things that didn’t work the way you wanted. It is a beautiful piece. When it comes to adding more “stuff’ make haste slowly.

Oh, Bree, I just want to say this necklace does’nt need anything added. I meant if you have a piece that just needs something, try a brooch!!! “I was thinking in print!!!” LOL………………I did’nt know I could do that!!!! DAH

Bree I have worked in a department store for nearly 32 years. I worked with the costume jewelery and in the fine jewelry departments. Sometimes simple is really better. A piece of jewelery is an accent to dress up an outfit or just make someone feel good about themselves. There is such a thing as going overboard. Don’t get me wrong there is someone out there who will love something you make no matter what. It is a good thing that all people out there do not like the same things or we’d be wearing uniforms of sorts. You need to be creative for all walks of life and not just yourself too because if you want to sell you sell to the public. You get a feel for what is in style and fashionable by just keeping an eye on what goes on around you. Most of all make what you enjoy first and then the public. (that is unless you want to keep everything you make LOL.)
