About this design:

The large agate pendant was the inspiration for this piece.
The necklace is 17" as the pendant is heavy so a short length seemed wise.
I am experimenting with different fibers & I liked the metallic silver in this yarn, & this is the result~

Components:

Agaye slab, fibers, silverplated bail, SP chain

I like the pairing of the fuzzy stingy stuff with the corona on the banded pendant. When i first looked at it, I saw something bird-like with ostrich-like feathers; then I squinted and saw: a diflagelate!

Love this, my cat would destroy it more than likely, I’d call it either Fuzzy Wuzzy, or Marm Fuzzy, lol. Nice piece! =)

I think you should call it Eyelash Agate. No matter what you call it, I call it a fine design.

Could call it Warm and Fuzzy. Or the Eye of the Storm with lacy clouds.

Funky piece! The agate reminds me of a cats eye, so I’d want to call it ‘Eye of the Cat’ – but that’s just me!

No name ideas, just wanted to say how nicely you duplicated the colors of the agate with the yarns. The yarn braid is a great idea for me as I work with agates and seed beads and am always looking for new ways to enhance their beauty. One note of caution. I always rinse my agates out in warm soapy water for a few minutes to insure that if they were dyed, that the dye doesn’t run. I’ve only found one that ran, but that one could have ruined a sweater or blouse!!!

I love how you used the agate. I have a couple of pieces and now I have inspiration to use them. Your necklace reminded me of a night sky, Eye of a Star.

I love this piece. We are in a deep freeze condition in N. Texas right now (OK…it’s cold for Texas), and this reminds me of the mourning dove at our feeders with her feathers all fluffed out. You could call it “On the Wings of a Dove”, or on another note “Quit Your Grousing!” (in honor of my hubby). :)
