First commissioned wire-wrapped pendant
About this design:
A customer asked me to wire-wrap an amber cabochon. It is very steeply domed and "standard" bezel securing wouldn't work. I went through several design iterations (on paper not with wire). It was crucial to not distract from the awesome, intact wasp within the amber. Because it was such a prime piece and amber is so soft, I was nervous the entire time I worked on this.
Components:
Argentium wire (22 ga round and 20 ga twisted, 24ga for wraps); 2mm snake chain; customer's amber cabochonAdditional Images:
