About this design:
More of my mother of pearl donut bead bracelets. Nothing too exciting here but I needed a picture in order to put up a swap announcement. :-)
Here's the announcement.
The good news is that we have lots of participants this round. Many more than last time. YAY!
The bad news is that I continue to receive requests to participate in the swap on my website, on Lima Beads and on Facebook.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send an email to doktordesigns.com if you want to participate. Up to this point, I have been contacting the people who don't follow this instruction on an individual basis, requesting a return email but I have to be a hard-a** about this beginning today. I CANNOT include anyone who doesn't contact me through the means I've requested.
As of today, I will no longer be contacting anyone on an individual basis about this issue. I'm making myself crazy checking every email account, every other way to send me a message multiple times each day to be sure I'm not missing anyone! Sorry that I can't do it anymore.
So, one last time, if you want to participate, send an email to doktordesigns@gmail.com and be sure to include your home mailing address.
Thanks for your understanding.
Susan

Mary S - Sweet Chick says:Very pretty bracelets! Great for spring/summer wear!
As for the bead swap; Bless your heart Susan! For taking on this HUGE task!

I bet it’s getting pretty frustrating, Huh?!
I think this is a wise step you are taking to maintain your sanity!!
Bead on girl friend!!!

Happy Chick aka Harriet says:I really like the bracelets!!! You are so talented, and then you say it is “nothing much!” LOL
I know what you mean about checking all those places to check. Don’t let it make you crazy!

Little Round Chick says:There are always some who just don’t know how to follow directions. I think you are perfectly justified in being a hard-a** about the whole thing. If you were organizing a birthday party for 6 or 8 people that would be one thing but looks like we are well beyond that number. To quote my mother, “Some folks couldn’t pour water out of a boot with the directions on the bottom.” Stick to your guns, Susan.

Lady of Beads says:I really like the bead work you do and you have my blessings and many many thanks for organizing the bead swap. I think it is very sad that folks can not or choose not to follow directions. Maintain your sanity at all costs and ignore their ignorance.

LeighAnn F says:I so love these bracelets! They are awesome. I am excited about the bead swap and I am getting my beads ready as I write this!

doktordesigns says:Who knows, perhaps I wasn’t explicit enough in my directions, or some people learned about the swap between my postings of the “rules” of engagement? (I got one email saying so, anyway.) In any case, I certainly don’t blame or think less of anyone for not getting an email to me, by any means. I just wanted everyone to know that unfortunately, I don’t have the time to follow up with so many forms of communication! Believe it or not, I have four email addresses that I check regularly–plus you can send me messages from Facebook, LinkedIn, Lima Beads, my website, or my company’s website. Hey, here’s a thought–maybe I’m just too darn accessible?
Bead love to everyone, no hard feelings, please!

Chicky Suz aka Susan Z says:Thanks for doing this Susan, seems to be a monumental task….love the MOP bracelets, too!!

grama rose aka stormy says:I know i got confused because first you had your website and then you put your gmail so i did get that wrong but you and I have already hooked up so that’s okay I’m just wondering if that happened to other?! It does take alot to organize alot of women we are all over the place sometimes LOL
But you are doing a great job

doktordesigns says:If I screwed something up, believe me, it wouldn’t be the first time.
Thanks, all, for the support and enthusiasm for the swap.
I’ve posted the “rules” again on the wire, and hope that will help to clear up the confusion.

Dragons Chicky says:Well, I’m one of those sad ignorant folks who can’t follow directions and make it hard for people who can. Don’t know how I ended up going around and around all those sites and not finding what I really needed but I am glad I got in under the deadline. My apologies to all the smarter/more intelligent Chickies whose lives I’ve made so much more difficult. Including Susan, who has been so kind and helpful.

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Susan, these bracelets are so beautiful — I just love your designs!!!
Thanks again for undertaking the monumental task of rounding up all of us Chickies and keeping us organized! It certainly takes a sane person to do that!!!

Cecilia-Gems of Heaven says:I’m just a big fan of all that you do and the bracelets are another hit…
