About this design:
Surfboard shaped black opal with blue play of color riding a wave of silver. I particularly like the "foam" rippling across the bottom edge of the "board".

Aqua Chickie Cat says:Thank you all for your kind comments. It honestly looks better than in the pics. I think that it needs increased depth of field to really see what it’s like in person, and I may get some new pics of it in time.
Opal is one of my very favorite stones, too, VCR, and thanks!
Kitty Mom, thank you very much. The fragility of opal, does create some challenges. Have to be careful not to squeeze too hard, and I can’t heat them, which makes hardening the silver more difficult. (I’d actually wanted to do this in gold, but could not wait to buy it.) I’ve only had two problems with cracking from pressure, while wrapping and both were sandy areas – in one case, actually just the matrix, not any opal cracked.
I was on Etsy (maybe still am), but after a long time of no lookers, gave up on the site. I have a website myself TheArtofAviD.com
