Delights From The Sea
About this design:
The labradorite pendant inspired this necklace. I will wear it. It is nice with or without the pendant. I had to make the pendant bail large to fit over the black shell squares. The black shell flashes the teal blue of the labradorite when it moves and the gold pearls pick up the lovely golden color from the pendant. I have never thought black shell could vary so much and be such and interesting bead.
Components:
Stormy Blue Keishi Pearls, Gold Rice Pearls, Silver Leaf hook & eye clasp from Lima Beads, Silver 3mm rounds, Black Shell squares, and black seed beads.Additional Images:

Faithful Chick aka Faith says:The second 2 pictures if the show the back of the pendant the stone has just as much color and flash as the front does. This pendant can look quite grey without movement and lignt to reflect. It was certainly a winner.

Faithful Chick aka Faith says:These pictures were to show better the necklace. I cannot get over how much variance there is to black shell. I always thought of it as such a just there it is and oh well stone. Now that I am really shopping I have found twice that maybe I can change my mind about it. The squares of black shells gave some interest to the keishi and rice pearls. Plus they added some size and shape to it too.

Your whole design on this is just my style.
I think you and I think alike on the size of jewelry we like to wear. I try now and then to wear bigger, chunkier styles but smaller still works best for me. This is simply gorgeous!! Love those little keishi pearls. And that pendant…..WOW!

Faithful Chick aka Faith says:Thank you Mary. The little keishi pearls were the very same I had put together for my friends daughter with champagne rice pearls and just wasn’t satisfied with it. I had misplaced the piece of Labradorite and when I finally found it (in a purse bottom) I thought the pearls would go well with this. I tried the champagne pearls but not enough color. The golden ones are sort of a multi color in there luminescence to giving off sort of teal to a hint of lavender rose. It just does not show enough of the beauty in a picture.

Faithful Chick aka Faith says:Thank you Harriet, Diane and Lynn. I think size and color on this are so stunning. I’m not sure there is any out there as pretty and as large as this. I put a large bail on the pendant so it would go over the black shell squares so I could wear both together or alone.
