About this design:

Here is my display from this past weekend. I got those two earring stands the night before from a girlfriend at work. I love them. I did not do well this time. I couldn't even sell a pair of earrings. My location was awful--stuck at the far corner. I think I had too much out. I like my setup but I think the green was too busy. I would like to keep it though so I might make a plain color for the table and keep the bamboo pattern on the bottom like a bed skirt. Other that that I was happy. A woman asked me to teach a few classes and I was asked to come to a very nice festival. So I didn't make a sale but I put myself out there..better luck next time they say

Jade, your display looks amazing! I’m so sorry you didn’t sell anything this time around. :( But that’s great you will be a part of a great festival!

Jade – Your display really looks great. I don’t think the green is a bad idea. Maybe just a plain green – without a design on it.

Don’t be discouraged you didn’t sell anything – location can really make a big difference. But you did some networking – and got invited to a festival. That’s fantastic.

Jade, I really like your display. I also like the green bamboo, but I would put it to the floor and put a white cover on top of it and lap over a few inches. I know it’s tough not to get discouraged, but it’s about location..location..location. Good luck at the festival you were invited to.

Jade, your display turned out great! I like your idea of using a lighter cloth and using the green as an accent. The fact that you were invited to another festival and to teach classes says a LOT! It also tells me that your difficulty with this show was definitely location.
Betty said it well, it’s tough to keep from getting discouraged but you hang in there! It had nothing to do with your talent! You have beautiful creations!
BTW, when is the next festival?

How fantastic to get invitations to give classes AND come to another show!! Congrats on that part. Sorry you had a lackluster sale. It HAD to be because you were stuck in no mans land, because your table and items are fabulous.

Instead of going lighter, you could go darker. you could use a piece of forest green velveteen (or similar material) just big enough for the table top, and use the bamboo material for the skirt.
It looks like your black displays are flocked (that’s why I suggest the velveteen), and the darker material would blend well with them. If you have pieces that would look better on a lighter display area, you could use doilies or placemats for those pieces.
