Mystic Torture

About this design:

I called this "torture" because I lost count of how many different designs I went through with this necklace before finally landing on this one. Too many light colored beads and the pendant got lost, too many black beads and it was too dark. I thought I would never find beads for the pendant that I was happy with...until I pulled out the citrine chips and then it all fell together.

Components:

Mystic Blue Feldspath, Citrine chips, peruvian chrysocolla, Black Onyx, antique gold clasp.

You hit on a winner with this color combo.

Isn’t it funny how thing morph into something completely different than the idea you started with?

I just finished finally clasping a necklace that morphed 5 times before I was really happy with it. It ended up with some completly different stones than I had originally intended – just like yours (when you added the citrine).

It can be frustrating – but so rewarding when you finally hit it…..You did it with this one……

This came out beautifully, so I hope you feel the torture was worth it. I love the combination of colors. I can see how the citrine chips would make it all flow together, as they echo the pendant perfectly.

Lovely, sometimes it’s worth the pain to get the final results (kind of like childbirth, eh?) Your results are stunning. I wish I worked as well as you do with citrine.
