Meet Bailey, a sweet little puppy who is slowly mending all of our hearts, she is a mix of Border Collie and Husky, she's 10 weeks old and so cute, I thought I'd share her :0)

Yes my darling dog Sacha, she was over 12 years old and died very suddently, we don’t know why, she seemed healthy and happy, never saw it coming and it just broke my heart. I needed to fill the emptiness and Bailey is doing a great job at that

Johanne, that is so sad to hear; I am so very sorry. We lost a very special dog about 2 1/2 years ago and I think of him often….we had to go to the local Humane society to find another furry member of the family right away…and we came home with 2 great dogs!!
Hope you have a blast with Bailey…she looks like she will keep you one your toes!!

Sorry for your loss. Bailey is adorable … Skittles says “hello”! He’s is 12 and techically has congestive heart failure (he was born with a murmur and they said over time the “flap” to the chamber gets weaker. He seems to be better now that he is on medication. I am hoping & praying for more happy years to come!
Have fun with the puppy – should provide a lot of entertainment!

I too feel your loss and your new found joy at the same time. I’ve had the same emotions over and over. We used to raise doxys and at one time had 3 doxys, a lab, and a cockapoo all at the same time. Right now we have 2 doxys and a boxer, none of the original doggies and still have a male and female cat. Fun Fun have fun house breaking. Best advice: what goes in especially in a puppy wet comes right out. It is the owner we train to read the puppy signals.

Thank you. I love dogs. Bailey is so cute. Even a picture can mend a human heart. Good mix too. I think mixed breeds make the best all round companions, and they’re always so smart. Mine is a Border Collie, Blue Heeler mix. He is 19 years old. :::sigh::: But seems very puppy like at times, so I think he’s going to live to a ripe old age. Hope you will post some more pictures … maybe Bailey antics.

Johanne, I am so sorry to hear of Sacha’s passing — my thoughts are with you — it is such a hard thing to go through. Our toy poodle, Shelby, is almost 13 years old and I treasure each day we have with her.

oh she is so pretty, the german sheppard really stands out. Both Rocky, an Austrailian Sheppard, now dearly missed, he was 12 and got cancer and hip displasia really bad, I had to put him down Sept. 5th of 09, and Buster the little French Bulldog in the picture above are purebred dogs, I’m thinking of a pound puppy after the shows. I’ve had plenty of pound puppies and they are great!! Most around here are Pit Bulls, which I love to death and would adopt one in a heartbeat, but they aren’t allowed where I live.. Blaaahhh

What a cutie pie. Love puppies as long as they belong to some one else. I haven’t raised a puppy in years. All of my recent dogs were over a year old. I can sympathize with you over the loss of Sacha. I had to have my dog Merlin put down in Dec. of 09. I’d had him for over 12 years. I’ll get another dog in the not too distant future. Merlin was a rescue dog and my next one will be, too. I think I’ll go for one that is a little smaller. Merlin weighed between 55 and 60 pounds. This picture was taken a few months before I had him put down. Sorry if it is a bit fuzzy. I never did get a really good picture of him.

Yes indeed Elaine, Sacha was a very kind dog, I always saw some kind of wisdom in her eyes, she was very smart too. It’s nice to share our love of dogs, so many special ones out there!!
