About this design:
Another coiled bangle!
This one in sterling silver.
It's a lot harder to wrap 20ga silver than 26ga copper!

Celticcrossing says:I really like this, simplistic & elegant looking. Very well done.
* Just a thought; I know that when you’re going to coil that much wire sometimes using a “wire worker” makes it so much simpler. Not sure if you’re already doing this or not. It helps to coil wire in all kinds of shapes and different sizes and then you can just add them to your designs.

Celtic Crossing – Actually – I’m not familiar with a “wire worker”. I do my coiling by hand.

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:I’m thinking it’s probably similar to my jump ring maker, but my mandrels are too big for the bangle.

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:Here’s brief directions -
paraphrased from “the best of step by step wire jewelry) I think I might need a subscription – LOL
12″ of 14ga (16 will work too)wire for the base. Wrap 2″ 20ga. add your beads. another 2″ of coiled wire, center beads, add spacers on either side, and 1″ coils, roll up the ends.
They recommend hammering to harden.
oh – they also suggest soft wire.

Celticcrossing says:The Wire Worker is from “Artistic Wire”, it’s a bunch of different size & shape “mandrels” that you plug into a handle, then just turn & away you go. Which makes things a little more easy on the hands.

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:Thank you Martha and Sarah!
Celtic Crossing – I checked out the wire worker and it is very similar to my jump ring maker. Except that my smallest mandrel is 4mm, which would be too big for this design.
thanks for the info- I’ll have to look into it.
