About this design:
I wanted to make something simple for my sister. She is very active and doesn't wear much jewelry.
In some of the vintaj jewelry that I've gotten I found a Precious Moments charm that I was going to use on it. She collected Precious Moments for along time. The charm was a little boy in footed jammies with a trap door backside, holding a teddy bear.
I started out thinking I'd do 1 bangle but it didn't seem quite right so I ended up with 3. When I got done with the bracelets I couldn't find the charm. Luckily I did find it but she decided to wear it as a necklace instead.
Components:
16 gauge Copper, Silver, Gold Colored Brass, 20 gauge silver wire, 22 gauge Copper and Gold wire, Copper tubing, various beads and findings.Read the comments (or add your own)

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:What a story, Julz!!! At least it has a very happy ending — 3 bracelets and a new necklace!
What fantastic bracelets — I’d wear these every day — love the different designs!!!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:I have a question. I bought some 1/4 inch copper tubing at Menards this weekend. I am having trouble getting it to “round” properly, even if I wrap it around something (such as a soda can). Do you have any advice, please? Thanks!

JulzJewlz says:I tried 2 different tubing benders and they didn’t work. So, I bought a wooden bracelet mandrel from ebay. Basically it’s a table leg. I did measurements up the side of it so I know how big I’m making the bracelet. Then I use a mallet and pound the tubing around the mandrel. It’s not real easy to do because there is no way to secure the mandrel. I’ve seen metal mandrels that you can secure to a vise. But they tend to be expensive.
Oh BTW my sister says that she does wear these everyday!!

Little Round Chick says:Super three-fer! If they were mine I’d wear then every day, too. Love, love, love the slightly crumpled copper tube beads. Is this your own invention? I’d love to try making some that are similar if you don’t mind.

Daisy Chick - Dawn says:I would like to try something like that too! I wonder if you did the pounding and hammering first and then shaped it if that would work. Sounds kinda hard to do if I am imagining it right?

Daisy Chick - Dawn says:OH I would wear these everyday too! Fabulous idea! LOve it!

JulzJewlz says:I did make the tube beads. I used copper tubing cut them about 1/4″ long, then pounded them until they crumple. It doesn’t take much to crumple them. If you pound too much it blocks the hole. Make sure you use a tube cutter not tin snips. The tin snips will smash the tubing.
Daisy, it would depend on what you are making. The tubing is tough to shape but it is also pretty fragile.
