Sea Glass
About this design:
A friend at work was away on vacation on the east coast of Canada, and she brought me back a whole bag of sea glass. This was one of the biggest pieces. This is my first attempt at wire wrapping anything that wasn't drilled.

But, also found a book called
“SETTING STONES IN METAL CLAY”
by Jeannette Landenwitch….. got good reviews on Amazon….if it helps anyone with questions on what stones can take the heat of the firing….kiln. It is a spiral bound book.
Haven’t received it though.

And love the sea glass….lovely color to it, and enhanced by the silver. Very nice.

Sea glass is a big thing here in Santa Cruz and for the past several years there has been a sea glass festival. Of course I found out about it when it was too late. We have beaches with it on it too. You have a wonderful friend to bring this back for you. Again Karen, you did a spectacular job! Maybe your talent for wrapping will rub off on me. I’m all thumbs when I wrap sea glass and it shows. HA!

Carol, You should have seen the first time I tried to wrap it…yikes it looked like a twisted metal ball. Even now I am sure going to have to practice, practice, practice. but it was fun!!!!
