"Fit For A Queen"

About this design:

I have never been much of a fan of filigree. However, There have been several Filigree pieces on here that are gorgeous. They sparked me into creating this set.
Now I can't decide what to do. I have the plain necklace with bracelet and long earrings. To store it I hung the earring on the necklace. I really like the way they look on the sides. So I made a second set of earrings. Now I'm not sure what to do. I was thinking about a tiny toggle, so that the long pieces could be part of the necklace or worn as earrings.
Plus I can't think of a name for this set. I think "I don't like filigree" was a bit negative LOL and "I didn't like filigree until I saw someone elses beautiful design" is a bit long! LOL

Components:

Brass chain, copper colored brass wire, brass filigree, swarovski crystals, vintage earring used on the bottom of the pendant.

Indecision is the key to flexibility. Don’t make up your mind until you have to. :D

Very opulent looking. “Fit for a Queen” might be a good name…? Love it!

Have you tried it on? Walked around a bit? Is it too heavy with the extra filigree? Maybe just the hearts on the sides?? to balance off the large filigree?? Maybe offer both sets of earrings?? Just randon thoughts…fill agree?

I think “Fit for a Queen” is the perfect name for it! Thanks! I agree waiting a bit to make up my mind is a good idea. It’s been done for a week now so waiting isn’t a problem.
LeighAnn~You are right filigree is hot right now. That is why I bought these pieces. I just wasn’t sure what I would do with them.
Dragon~I have tried it on. It looks gorgeous either way and it is extremely light weight. The small earrings don’t look as good on the necklace. Yes I was going to offer both sets. They go together and I don’t have anymore of these pieces.
    Thanks Karen!
The bracelet is way cool!! It is light weight, I bent the squares so that they would fit around the wrist, instead of flat on the wrist.

Love the necklace both ways with or without the earrings so I think you should find a way to be able to use it both ways! Gorgeous design and Perfect title!

This is a beautiful set! Filigree can be a bit difficult. Yet at times the perfect accent piece. I think I would give it time to be certain what you wnat to do. It’s when I rush or force something that I end up redoing it. Try to figure out a way to make this as versatile as you want it to be.

Wow! Fabulous design, however it ends up!
This is definitely one of those pieces that you have to leave for a few days and think about.
Personally, I’m thinking add the smaller heart/leaf filigree to the necklace to balance the focal. and keep the big earrings as earrings.
Can’t wait to see what you decide!

This is beautiful! Maybe you could use brass lobster claw or the round ones to hook it on the necklace and the to the earrings? You could cover them with a tiny bit of filigree to disguise the clasps. I don’t know…just an idea! Or, little tiny hooks…they could be hidden very easily in the back of the filigree??????

I found some tiny hooks that would be perfect to convert them from the earrings to the necklace. I will have to get them and see how they turn out. Thanks for all of your suggestions and comments!

Filigrees are nice but I do understand your thoughts about them very well. I have had some filigrees on my table such a long time but do not know how to build them up to something! You did it well and the name is perfect :)

Some beads and findings have to just sit on the table or in the drawer and marinade for awhile!! I know I’ve had these for close to a year. I am so pleased with how they turned out. I definitely have changed my mind about filigree!
