About this design:
This was on of those pieces done on a whim! Just off the top of my head. No planning or designing and it just happened and all went together within just a few minutes. The only thing I changed is that I bent the piece of copper tubing a few days after I made and I made the necklace more rectangle than round.
Components:
14,20 gauge copper wire, copper beads, copper tubing.Read the comments (or add your own)

Julz, you rock at this metal stuff!
I’m going to make you crazy with questions……
How do you smooth the edges of the copper tubing?
They look so smooth and rounded, almost as if the edges are rolled inside the tube.

JulzJewlz says:MoonBell…that’s double twisted 20 gauge copper wire. I use a gizmo to do it because of the Rhuematoid in my hands.
Thanks…FaeryGoth and Dawn!!
Mary…when you cut the tubing with a tube cutter it automatically turns the ends inward. I will stand the piece on end and lightly pound it to turn then ends in a bit further. But, be careful it will colapse the tube very easily. I have a Dremel that I use for heavy stuff and I also have different grades of sand paper and sometimes I use finger nail files.

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:I wanted to know about the ends too- mine are raggedy looking when i cut it today- I have been filing for an hour. Oh, thats what I need- a tube cutter! Ok, Thanks Julie!

Mary S - Sweet Chick says:Thank you Julie!

JulzJewlz says:When you use the tube cutter be careful not to twist it too tight. It will leave small impressions just inside the cuts. Sometimes it’s not a problem but if you want a clean smooth surface it’s hard to polish out.

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:Oh, the cutting tool really gives an excellent smooth edge!
