About this design:
Having fun playing with "hardware", these earrings are made using copper washers and Owyhee picture jasper puff coins and rondelles (main picture) or cubes (2nd picture). I took out any aggressions I might have harbored by hammering the top faces of the washers. ;-) Then, created links using 18 ga Cu wire. The stones were attached using 20 ga Cu wire and the earwires are 22 ga Cu wire that was work hardened by light hammering.
Components:
Copper washers from Harbor Freight (come as a set of six sizes in a cute divided plastic box); Owyhee Picture Jasper (LB); copper wire.Read the comments (or add your own)

Definatly going to have to check out Harbor Freight, thanks for the advise on locating them.

Science Chick Runs Sibes says:Thanks for the kind words all. Yes, Bubbly Chick, it was great fun hammering the washers–only nicked one fingernail before I learned to hold down the very opposite edge. I loved the way the dimpled surface reflected light when I was finished and held them up.

Science Chick Runs Sibes says:Sue, I too hunted every hardware, plumbing supply store and electric/lighting store in my area; then, EekaMouse pointed out the suppliers in a book we both have (“Contemporary Copper Jewelry”) that listed Harbor Freight. I just discovered that there is a Harbor Freight located near where I frequently do a Sunday outdoor market. So, I have a new place to haunt when I’m in the mood to design with unusual things.

Linda Talbott says:I love these. Owyhee Jasper is one of my favorites. My mom, who lived in Oregon (east side of state) lived near the Owyhee Lake and Mountains which were incredibly beautiful. I really like the hammering on the circles too.
