Picture Idaho
About this design:
One of my favorite "rockhounding" places (when I want to stay clean, at least) is my LRS (local rock shop). I spotted these fun cut-outs of Owyhee Picture Jasper. The ideas for their use flowed and I couldn't resist getting a few. The name hints at the fact that the Owyhee Mtns span the Oregon/Idaho stateline.
Components:
Owyhee Picture Jasper "frame" and cubes; copper chain, wire (12, 22 and 26 ga), beads and clasp; wood beads.Additional Images:

Science Chick Runs Sibes says:Well, the necklace didn’t sell at my show this weekend–almost did but the woman wanted it longer. As we talked and I explained lengthening would be know problem, it appeared that she really wanted just the pendant. I pointed out the solo pendant (pictured in the fifth comment in this string)–she grabbed it and described to me how she had a strip of very soft deer skin that her husband tanned. The pendant will have a luxurious “chain.”
This necklace received LOTS of raves but the crowd for the most part was buying conservatively. I might get a call for it as several customers took my biz card after talking about the necklace with friends.
