About this design:
The yellow "turquoise"* leaf and peridot jasper square tubes languished in my stocks for several years. I personally didn't like them--so I wouldn't work with them. Recently, some of you ladies inspired me to start re-organizing my workroom. Part of that clean-up campaign includes the self-imposed requirement that I have to make jewelry using items that had been hanging around for too long.
The pearls were a recent acquisition, but they drew together the yellow of the pendant and the yellow-green of the peridot jasper. AND, they finished the picture I wanted to paint--early autumn trees just starting to turn with their green leaves just washed with a golden hint of what is to come.
Just as I finished this necklace, I'd turned away to take a phone call. When I returned I couldn't believe how much I liked it. My instant reaction was "I'd wear this!" Amazing what some almost "hated" components can be turned into.
*Yellow "turquoise" is actually serpentine in a jasper matrix.
Components:
Yellow "Turquoise" pendant, Peridot Jasper square tubes, golden olive FW pearls, silver-plated brass beads and clasp, seed beads, headpins.Read the comments (or add your own)

Bead-itudes says:I’ve never been a fan of Yellow Turquoise either. I think I traded some nuggets I had in one of the bead swaps – because they had been in my stash forever – and I still didn’t know what to do with them.
You’ve done a fabulous job with this. I love your description – of the early autumn trees. I think you captured that perfectly with this piece.
