Diamonds & Rust Moonlight Visitor
About this design:
This piece was inspired by the lovely Luna Moth focal bead. It was made in Japan by a very talented lady. Last year I saw my first Luna Moth and was so amazed that when I found this bead I had to make something with it. I had the quartz beads which were from New Zealand the Clasp is a Green Girl Studio piece from Lima Bead and the silver lentils I have had for a while. The lampwork lentils were intended for another necklace that just didn't work out. Things from all corners of the world cam come together to make one pretty piece.

I hatched 3 Luna moths in my classroom as a class project (with my 1st graders). They are the most beautiful creatures (although when they first hatch, they kinda resemble little white fuzzy gremlins).

Stormy Yes LB does/did have the Luna Moth Fairy in sterling earlier this year and recently in bronze. I had bought the sterling version and wanted to use it with this focl bead but gave up. I just couldn’t figute out how to use both.

Daisy Chick - Dawn says:I have both Lorrie and they are gorgeous! I had wanted to use the bronze one with lapiz picking up the gold, but it just didn’t do the lapiz justice. I ended up using silver beads for the lapiz necklace and not the Luna Moth Fairy at all.
