C Clark says:Very dramatic, and beautiful. I went to the Nomadic Notions in San Antonio several months ago to find it closed. I miss it. I learned how to knot pearls there and I love to do it.

ChickyD aka Debra says:Thank you ALL so very, very much!
C Clark, yes, there is only one Nomadic Notions left…the Austin store. The man who owns it used to have one in Houston, Dallas, and San A, too. We’ve been assured the Austin one will not close. Do you live in Texas?
On Dec 25, 2010 at 3:09 pm #
C Clark says:Yes, we live in San Antonio. We lived in Austin in the late-60′s when my husband was at UT. We loved Austin then but it really has grown since then.
I’ll probably have to make a drive over to Austin. I’ll bet you have several good bead stores there.

Eeka Mouse says:Debra, this is gorgeous! I’ve been thinking of doing something with white pearls and copper, but it won’t be as impressive as your shimmering waterfall of a necklace.

On Dec 27, 2010 at 12:40 pm #
ChickyD aka Debra says:Thank you all for your sweet comments!
Eeka Mouse, the pearls are actually a soft dusty pink. The round ones seem to change color depending on the light; sometimes they look dusty rose and sometimes pale bronze.
C Clark, there are at least 3 good bead stores I know of. 2 are actually on the same street within about 3 or 4 blocks of each other. Very convenient….and DANGEROUS
