If I wish hard enough for spring...

About this design:

maybe we can skip the rest of winter, and the snowstorm will go away today instead of Saturday... or maybe not. Anyway, making this for my show made me feel better. I actually want to keep it. The large gold beads had huge holes, & weren't sitting right on the wire, so I glued gold sequins to each hole, and they sit perfectly!

Components:

Huge gold-plated beads of unknown origin, Green Aventurine, Angelite, Gold-plated rondelles, Glass Pearls

Beautiful is the combo of blue, green, and gold. I can see why you would not want to part with it. I have found that not all pieces are able to be duplicated, since beads come and go, sometimes not to return. In addition, prices on some beads are rising. If you love it, keep it and enjoy. Being snowed in has its advantage; you created beauty.

I love the angelite w/green aventurine. When I have big-holed beads, I string seedbeads inside them so they don’t wobble.

This is so lovely. I love the combination of colors with the gold beads. And putting on the sequins to hold the gold beads in place was a great idea.

I love these colors together with the gold…I’d keep it if I were you! Great idea with the sequins, and I like Eeka’s seed bead idea, too! Only goes to prove that for every problem, there’s a solution (or several of them!). :D

Thank you everyone. I don’t usually like gold either, but I have more beads and have decided I can remake this if it sells.

Very pretty, great colors, great design. Sometimes you start out making a piece to sell and you fall in love with it. I find if I love it that much, I keep it for myself and then either make another one right away to sell or purchase the beads right away to duplicate it. I just made a bracelet last night and couldn’t part with it. So tonight I will make another to sell. Enjoy!
