Frog Spit

About this design:

These glass marble beads remind me of that concoction of lime sherbert and vanilla ice cream known as Frog Spit. I think the colors are perfect for spring

Such pretty earrings, Katherine — great color for Spring! :D

Thanks for explaining the name of these earrings, too — I’ve never heard of Frog Spit and was wondering what you were referring to……LOL

K H, I was LMAO when I saw your title, because it really fit these earrings! And now that you’ve explained what it is, it fits even more! These are adorable! :D

The headpins were purchased – they are silver plate. I want to start making my own headpins from copper wire – but DH doesn’t want me using a blow torch in the house (imagine that) and it has been too cold to work outside since I got the idea.

Forg Spit is like a Dreamcicle – just a different flavor. I believe they are made by North Star – but you could probably make an “adult version” by mixing lime sherbet and vanilla ice cream and maybe topping it with some fresh fruit – like red raspberries.

These are perfect for spring, Katherine! I must admit, Frog Spit, in terms of ice cream, was totally unknown to me until now, but I love the sound of your “adult” version…sounds yummy! :D

Nice earrings, love the idea of lime sherbet, vanilla ice cream and raspberries too! How to get yur husband on board with using a little torch in the house: make creme brule’. Once he has devoured the goodies, you can let him know that the little butane torch used to carmelize the sugar is what you’d be using to do headpins… and you’ve demonstrated the ability to use the torch w/o setting the house on fire… ;)

Creme brulee is a great idea Mary, but we have to get him off the no-carb diet first. There are several things I will never give up, carbs, caffine, chocolate, beads, wire!
