Serpents of Ireland

About this design:

I made these earrings for St. Patrick's Day. I used 16 G coper wire, cutting 2 pieces that were about 6 inches long. I started by making simple loops at the ends of both pieces of wire and pounded them lightly to make the loops flat, and therefore easiuer to work with. Then I held both pieces of wire together and bend the wires into a snake pattern. and pounded those areas flat. Next, I slipped a green bead onto each wireand finsihed by making a wrapped loop at the top. The stone is called mosiac stone - it is a composite of malichite and turquise in a resin binder.

Katherine, Erin Go Bragh! I would certainly say that these earrings do remind me of the snakes driven out of Ireland. How stunning. You make working with wire so easy. Thank you so much for sharing today. Smile.
