I just made a necklace using scarabs from the museum shop at the King Tut exibit in Philadelphia a couple of years ago. Nothing like the Washington DC exhibit in 76, which I heard about and missed because I didn’t want to get up at 4:30 am!

I’m going to work on a chinese porcelain bead (blue and white) and cobalt beads that I bought today at a bead outlet shop that I unfortunately heard about. When I want to attach chain or just links to the end, I attach a closed jumpring before crimping. then use open jump rings as links. You can use split rings if you’re worried about open ones. I’ve also used 2 rings if it’s a heavier piece.
