    thanks smoky,

yeah, L.B. sure knows how to get lotsa way fantabulous beads every week… mmmmhhh sunstone sure is appropriately named… can you tell I’m longing for warmer weather… and be careful what ya wish for… seems like I’m either too cold or too hot here, want more days in the lovely 70s… w/ sunshine… for my new geraniums and primroses… :)

oh, nice flowers! that is something I must do this weekend is get some annual plants – some nice pops of color. Does it ever get above the high 80′s there, Joyce?

yes at times, usually in July or August, and cuz of the high humidity it is uncomfortable… although NOT like when I lived in the south, on the gulf coast of northwest Florida like what chicky d describes about Texas… and other way hot places in the south…

yep my primroses are a couple of shades of pale lilac, and my geraniums are a lovely fuschia… love the wavy curved leaves of geraniums, they look like beautiful fans, now if only we could have a “geranium leaf” bead pendant, say in antique copper or brass… ha ha… :)

really – I did not realize that. I saw last summer how it had reached the low 90′s on a couple of occassions, but I was thinking that must be most, most, unusual.

I am a big fan of Lantana for annual color, among soooo many others. The Lantana has what looks very much like little bouquets of flowers on the stems in vibrant yellow, orange, and pinks – with rich, blue-green foliage – and I think they draw hummingbirds, too.
Your lilac and fuschia will make for a great color combo! (and even a pick?!)

The sunstone sure is georgous, like this pick! :) I love the combination, and the way the colors melt together!

    Smart Chick, this is great!
    sunstone w/monaco agate is lovely.
Btw, here in hot west Texas, where lantana is a native plant, ours are perrenials.
    Over 100 here today, again.

    Over 100 already? Wow!

    chickies,

all your comments about Lantana and other gorgeous flowers helps me realize how much I don’t know about flowers… can’t even identify 99% of the ones I see on my walks in my own neighborhood… sigh, guess I’m definitely an “urban” chick… ooohhh, another Pick coming on :) … gotta get one of those “flower field guides”…
