dolllady aka Pam says:Congrats on your rainy day pick! It looks like our rainy days are gone at least for a week. I discovered one of my orange trees is in bloom yesterday! Hopefully we won’t have any more freezing temps.

Granny Nancy says:Thanks all! Hopeful for no more freezing temps to save the orange trees. We, however, had a lot of rain and a pipe that is controlled by the town or county (not sure) broke and our kitchen and dining room and half of the first floor of that building was horribly damaged due to the flooding water freezing from the temps being so low.
So for the past 2 weeks we’ve had many, many maintenance folks from the town/county plus our own people trying to get things fixed. With soooo much damage its a huge job. The kitchen must have been fixed enough to do some cooking because they are making limited meals and delivering them. But the dining room probably needs a new floor and that takes a while as well as the lobby and hallways. We are thankful for all the help plus help due to the insurance.

Melody F says:Wow Nancy, that flooding sounds like a real mess. Hope it gets fixed, everything repaired, repainted, replaced, soon. I’ve been flooded and it is not fun. Thankfully it hasn’t happened recently. But every time the creek get high I get nervous.
