Frida, what an unusual but very striking and elegant combo, the pale green prasiolite sure contrasts beautifully with the black, chain and rusty pink biwas! I’m unsure myself about gunmetal and the durability of its plating, I confess to usually using U.S. made pewter metal, sterling silver or gold, the later two only when I can afford – I do like the reliability of the U.S. made pewter beads, charms and pendants that come in different finishes, antique copper, gold and silver. CONGRATS to you on selling two necklaces for $42 each, way to go, here’s to more sales for you! And hope someone here at LB can tell you about the reliability of gunmetal findings! :)

I love this. The light green with the rosy, rusty pink is a striking contrast! I have some gunmetal that I bought but I have not worked with it yet and I am not sure if it is plated. I guess if you don’t like the thought of plated you could let sterling oxidize, but you wouldn’t have the shine. I wonder if aluminum would work? I pretty much only use sterling, but I do use brass or copper if solid or gold vermeil. Congrats on the sale of the necklaces.

I thought nobody would find this one, bec it was soo many picks being posted at the same time… :)

Soo glad you tried to answer my questions!American products I have bought has very good quality!! Just think it’s weird if all gunmetal is plated, it’s a type of brass, wouldn’t be to expencive to create I think :)
