“De Colores”

Description from tomasina: Lyrics to this song by Joan Baez are in Spanish:
"De colores,
De colores se visten los campos en la primavera.
De colores,
De colores son los pajaritos que vienen de afuera.
De colores,
De colores es el arco iris que vemos lucir.
Y por eso los grandes amores de muchos colores
Me gustan a mi."
It translates as how much she loves the colors of the spring flowers, the little birds, and the rainbow. A later verse praises the colors of "all the people of Freedom."

I love the bright colors, and Joan Baez too. Saw her 75th birthday special on public TV. It was great. Another favorite is Linda Ronstadt. El Arco Iris would be a good title too. Pretty pick TomasinaL

Love this song, Tomasina! And your pick went right into my faves. I’m still a beginner learning Spanish, but my favorite verse describes what the hen says and the chicks say “pio, pio” I’ve heard the children sing this song but never knew Joan did. Thank you for this colorful pick.
