“December II”

Description from Granny Nancy: I love these vibrant blues and could remember how December could be so intense and breezy when I lived up north. December in the south is sometimes warm. We're still in the high 80s and low 90s in the Carolinas and so darn humid.

We’ve had rain and wind here in Salem, OR, but we still don’t need sweaters, just umbrellas. All your swirly items in this pick look like (subconscious?) tropical storm references. I love those cold blues in your pick. I would add silver beads to make necklaces and bracelets. A whole row of one kind of swirl could dangle from a necklace.

Nancy, this is another great pick for December babies. I hear what you are saying. We had a short reprieve from all of the heat for about a week and a half, but were super humid from rain. Now we had a high of 100 degrees yet today. I know that some Christmas days have been near 100 degrees. In fact it was 96 at noon. We left dinner went home and laid down for naps. We woke up an hour later and a cool front had move through and it was 70 degrees.

The swirls are from the memory of very windy days in our first house that was built on a hill with no trees around it to provide any kind of barrier against wind. Although a cold climate, our family like to swim so we had a pool and one enclosure collapsed from the high wind and I have vivid memories of that mess.

We also had a lot of cloudy, rainy days with the usual associated rain.

I would definitely use silver in any piece I made with these colors. Not a lot but small daisy spacers every 5 beads perhaps.

Thanks for these wonderful responses. I love it.
