    Little Round Chick says:

The Twelve Days of Christmas has always been one of my favorite songs. One year when I was teaching art in elementary school I had my second grade students illustrate the first five of the 12 days. They got to tell me what the gift was for each day. (Cue the bright music.) On the first day of Christmas My true love gave to me a Parson in a pear tree. On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me Two Turtlenecks and a Parson in a pear tree. On the third day…etc. Three Finch Hens… On the fourth day…etc… Four Falling Birds or if you prefer Four Humming Birds… But they got the Fifth Day correct. Kids hear things strangely. :D
