Description from GrandmumPamela: I've read about Gertrude Jekyll and English perrenial gardening. The elements of design here are more about the selection of flowers and foliage that allow for touch and smell as well as visual. Each garden is composed with beautifully scented flowers and herbs, and textured soft leaves and fronds. Architectural features are often added as a focal point and could consist of fountains, sheds, benches, cathedral walls, or bridges.
In this design, a cottage front, I picked the pink quartz as the picket fence symbolism, added a bird bath, and plenty of Roses, snowdrop or Lily, Dahlias, Daisies and Jasmine. The ivy leaf is a conventional as ground cover or arbor shade. Olive leaf is another touch of green to offset all the other floral selections. If you want to stay in Europe and focus on England further, visit my other Brit pick "Druid Circle"!

Love English cottages & gardens! And your pick is so pretty with its colorful flowers. Never bought lucite or acrylic, but now I see what a lovely piece you may create with these!
