“Getting organized”

Description from Medieval Momma: I've been organizing my beading studio. I bought a bunch of boxes and baskets. Some 70% off at Michaels and some from goodwill. Plus my husband brought home a cabinet of shelves from his work. They were very dirty but goo-gone, Murphy's oil soap, and elbow grease did the trick. I'm loving all the storage!

I want to see the colored linen thread, specially the salmon and light rose, strung through the transparent frosted crystal 6/0s and alternated with the 6/0 opaque whites! Add a focal with the Arctic white bellflowers dotted with salmon and light rose 11/0s in the centers for a really neat bracelet!

Good luck on getting organized. I bought a new multicolored drawer rolling to organize the beads I bought in the last year. It is still sitting nothing done several months later. My table in my TV room is covered. I need to get organized!

Thanks guys! I pretty much have everything put where I want it now. Of course I’ll have to tweak it over the next few weeks. Dolly, my dining room table was overrun by my beading. I’m so glad to finally have it cleared. Creel, your idea sounds fantastic!

Congrats on your POD! Can’t wait to see (now that you’re organized) what you create with those intriguing components! I too like Creel’s idea.

I was organized a couple years ago–but then . . . hopefully, this POD will inspire a massive sorting in addition to that great idea for a bracelet.

Your organizing is inspiring. After breaking my leg two years ago I have been getting better very slowly. So I chose this time to buy and buy beads. After all they are small I said. Not when you buy them by the box, said V, my whatever he is. And yes, they are really piling up. I did one festival and sold lots of bracelets, but that hardly made the tiniest dent in these piles. Before I went on this bead madness spree I already had an enormous accumulation of beads. I used to have a 10 x 20 space where I sold collectibles, beads, and jewelry that I made. Then I did ebay for a while. Then I was mainly painting. I have two rooms in my house for studios, one mainly filled with painting stuff, be other mainly with bead and findings. But the beads are taking over the bedroom too. Help!
