Description from CAS: This past Friday I was chosen for Grand Jury Duty here in New Hampshire. I was a bit anxious about what to expect. I spent the day with seventeen other people voting on information, provided by lawyers and police officers, to see if they had enough to go to trial or not. It was interesting all in all, and I now I'll be doing my civic duty once a month for six months.

A coworker of mine was selected for grand jury duty here in RI and he was in session every work day for 5 weeks! We were in quite a bind covering his particular position for that duration. He admitted he rather enjoyed the break in pace.

    Civic duty, can’t do it any more due to lack of energy to park, walk to courthouse, stand in line to be checked for no-nos, and then finally getting to the appropriate floor to sit and wait hours for possible selection from those present. Hated doing it the couple of times I was able to, but everyone has to do things that are tiring and unpleasant to maintain our justice system.
