Thanks Kimberly and Creel! I just love Annie Lennox’s music.

Wonderful pick! We did manage to get .8 inch of rain over the weekend. It didn’t do much to improve our extreme drought condition, but every little bit helps our yards and plants.

What a great pick! The elements all work together really well. We’re expecting some bad weather here tonight!

Congrats on your lovely & apropos POD, Kathryn! We’re expecting some more spring showers here today. ‘Tis the season. Lots to love in this pick– the Zola paddle sets evoke falling raindrops brilliantly. I admit I didn’t think much of using them in jewelry designs until I saw

until I saw a design posted here by sweetjane about a month ago that used patina to color the paddle drops, and in those watercolory hues the things look amazing. Absolutely droolworthy. I don’t have much for patina, but I’ve got a bunch of alcohol inks, and I might need to give this a try with those. (Along with the hundred other projects I’d like to get to. So many beads, so many ideas, so many other things I gotta do, too. And then there is the unfounded anxiety in starting a thing, especially one you haven’t done before, and plucking up the courage/confidence to dive in without the fear of failure. I’m an artistic wreck.)

Thank you, Liz! And you are NOT alone regarding all the projects, waiting in plastic bags, boxes and trays, to be worked on and completed. I also am with you about the anxious about learning a new skill to tackle one of those projects that started in the head and now needs to be wrangled with the hands!

Thanks, Kathryn. Glad to know it’s not just me.

I’m with Liz! I could have written her comment. I have ran out of room in my “project” tub. Your new POD is great. I do believe that we will be having a brutally dry summer. We are still in a severe drought and have outdoor burn bans. That is rough for the farmers.

Great POD! That crystal chain is really wonderful. We just had 2+ days of solid rain here! And today the sun is shining! Time to plant the new asparagus patch! Congrats!

Thanks so much, everyone! Pam, I hope and pray for rain in your part of the country. We in MN are hoping that some of the rain that ALWAYS goes to Wisconsin stays over us more often. But not with tornadoes and straight line winds! I changed my profile photo. ( although kitty still likes to “groom” me and huff n puff in my ear!) To show what the pin I’m wearing says, here is a larger photo. Encouraging you all to protect yourself!

Congrats! I’m loving this conversation–too many projects–not enough time! Liz hit it spot on! Kathryn, nice profile picture–continue to be safe! :)

Kathryn, if I make this piece, will be guaranteed rain? I love this pick!
Alas, we have another spring with little rain. Our drought continues. Less than 10% humidity … too dry. I imagine our fire danger is “explosive”.

My favorite weather. Where I live, we’ve been having rain all week long. I love the cloud connector and the rain drops. Just a beautiful pick. Congratulations.

Kathryn, love the new profile pic & hooray for vaccination! I got my second shot last Saturday & had a robust immune response, getting full body aches & fever the following day, but back to 100% by Monday. Still better than having COVID & risking spreading it around. A day in bed is not bad enough not to get vaccinated, and some people have no ill effects but a sore arm. I worry the vaccination rate has fallen off precipitously here and the people motivated to get their shots have done, but most of the rest of the people here now don’t want to do it, or are expecting everyone else will do it and that will be good enough or something.
Drought sufferers: wishing I could share some of our rain with you! It’s not like we’ve had too much, just the usual seasonal spring rains, but when you’re desperate for any, I’d leave us a little dry to give you some respite. I will pray you get the rain you desperately need, and without any dangerous extremes. And protection from fire in the meantime. I would do it all myself if I could. It is in God’s hands. I will ask Him. We will ask Him. He will do it.
