“I was on fire”

Description from Asia: Never use a torch in a hurry!!!I refilled one over the kitchen sink and it spilled butane into it. I was in such hurry to make a few headpins that without thinking I ignited it, the butane in the sink ignited then and I'm without one eyebrow, My colleges are going to have fun tomorrow ;)

Oh my!! at least it was only an eyebrow! I am afraid of all flammable liquids. You light a match and the whole trail of liquid and the fumes burn back to you. I have had similar experiences with a camping cookstove. :-I Stay safe!

    Asia says:

That did teach me a lesson, from now on no torching in a hurry. I used to be intimidated , my son had to tech me how to use it at first, but after I saw the results there is no stopping now, I have to hide from him what happen, so I plucked my other eyebrow to minimum ;)

Sorry to hear of the loss of an eyebrow Asia. I have to admit it is the best way to learn a lesson(if no one is seriously hurt that is). My hubby had a similar lesson learned. Was rushing opening boxes at his work with a exacto knife. He ended up with 6 stitches in his thumb. Bet he won’t do that again :-D

See this is exactly why I said I was scared of fire on that mecklace and I had not even seen this!!! Geez Asia…art is not worth that!! Gorgeous pick.
Like Becky I had a campstove scare. Jiffypop package malfuntioned, flames starting shooting up, I backed away freaking out, drunken abusive 2nd husband tried to make me grab pan handle & take care of it instead of just pouring pot of water on it. He almost stuck my hand in fire.

  13. Asia
    Asia says:

Deb, you need to get into torching, if you are planning to do metal work.
