I worked in Rome for almost two years and before I left the US, my dear Dad gave me some money and asked if I’d go and see his cousins in the Ionian region of western Greece. I fell in love with the people, place, and (even though I’m an American Heinz 57 mix) and delighted with the part of of me that’s Ionian/Greek! No place in my view quite like it in the springtime…so lovely, so fragrant, God’s creation budding and His sun shining down. Add to that the amazing beauty of the Orthodox singing from my cousin’s radio (which she kept on all day during Lent) is something (maybe) like Heaven will be! BTW, I’m new to beading, and simply loving the opportunity to put ideas, visions, loves, on a necklace!
