  3. Julie Shane
    Julie Shane says:

No… I don’t think Picasso was into mermaids.
Guernica, guitars and gruesome looking women… yes.

I love the Czechs + friends that you’ve collected here.

  4. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

I know he didn’t paint a mermaid. I just can’t figure out why they call that a picasso finish when that is not a look that is in his paintings at all. It would be more appropriate to call it a Monet finish…or Van Gogh… since it gives the bead an impressionist look. But anyway…

    Thanks everyone.

Lovely. Who cares if he missed mermaids. With the way some of his females looked, he might have painted one and we just can’t tell!

LMBO Becky….I looked at a bunch of his paintings after seeing that picasso finish on czech glass….to see if I could figure it out. So I’m thinking he knew a bunch of butt ugly women and the only way he could paint them in a way that people would like was abstract
Because if he painted them like they looked people would say “why would I pay for a painting of a butt ugly woman??”
