Description from EPBCornell: Pearls are beautiful by themselves, of course, but I love the look of three twisted strands of pearls with in between every third, fourth or fifth pearl a little something different. I've thrown together all sorts of options I'd be interested to see with the gorgeous midnight blue freshwater pearls I've had my eye on. A few clasps I could envision using with The different combinations are included, but 3-loop magnetic tube slides in metal of choice would also work well. With the triple-strands of 6-7mm pearls, some kind of jump ring chain or extension would likely need to attach to the toggle bars to function here. The lampwork selections would be a variation with 3 twisted strands of sections of pearls switching to short sections of a few lampwork drops, all 3 meeting to pass through the larger rondelle focal in the middle. May need size 6/0 seed beads at the transition.
A tip if you want your strands to twist together: Put a number of twists in your beading wire (in the same direction for all the strands) before crimping the second end to the clasp. It's easier said than done. You will need to keep the first end anchored down, either clamped or taped (I like electrical tape or similar plastic marking tape), easiest with the first strand to crimp then twist, and with the subsequent strands need to pin down the second end between crimping while twisting each next strand to keep everything from spinning together prematurely. Try not to crimp any strand too snug, as the beads will need a little more room on the strand when twisted up, especially if there are rondelles. Once finished, release the ends, hold apart, untwist & retwist to get even. When you let go it will hold its twist. The more turns you put on the individual wires before crimping, the tighter it will remain twisted. I imagine this could be done to a degree with C-lon cord, just I would probably try increasing the twist of the cord cable strands, instead of going against it/unwinding the cord cable, when you put your turns on the strands, but I haven't tried it yet. It would probably twist up the strands better the opposite way, I just don't want to weaken the cable. (At least with C-lon you'll be able to remember which direction you are twisting all your strands!)
