Description from Melody F: I was sitting in my "secret garden" which is just a little front yard surrounded by a yew hedge on two sides, the house on one side, and various shrubs on the fourth side, when I noticed that the lawn is now more clover than grass. This is okay with me. So I took this as my theme for this fresh pick.

Robin nursechick says:A secret garden is always a special place – a place to think or just be blank. I love the emerald blue coins-I hadn’t seen them. I have a shade garden in the backyard with 2 large boulders in a part of it-that’s my secret garden-mainly to watch birds and butterflies-I don’t solve any problems there, I just absorb the beauty of birds, butterflies and assorted creatures that come to see who’s there. Your pick is perfect for these places and times. Love it

Melody F says:Thank you, fellow bead lovers for your nice comments. Robin, your secret garden sounds great. I watch the birds and butterflies too. Sometimes I open a package of beads in my S.G. and just sit and admire them. A mountain ash that some bird planted in my shrub row was covered with orange berries until this past week. Robins, Cedar Waxwings, Stellar’s Jays, and Scrub Jays have just about gobbled them all up. Verlyn wants to cut that volunteer tree down before it gets so big that only a professional can manage it, but I keep putting it off, because it is pretty, and the birds love it. Maybe we can just trim it this year.

Robin nursechick says:We also have the dilemma of tree cutting too. We had waxwings a couple yrs ago- they are rarely in this area- these crazy little birds ate a whole tree full of loquats – none left- even on the ground. It’s was fun watching them- drunk with joy!

I don’t have my own secret garden, but my front yard is also more clover than grass, with a lot of sphagnum moss thatched in, too, brightening the green a bit for us. I love the deep clover greens you have in your pick– very calming and satisfying. Your secret garden must be a most pleasant place to be.
