EPBCornell says:Lovely moon pick! Or, rather, full moon, with higher high tides today to add to the storm surge from Henri. All at the coast seems to have survived the morning high tide around the time of landfall ok. We were lucky to keep our electricity, while our neighbors are all out– getting our service line through the woods off the main road at our dead end of the street instead of off the loop like our neighbors that runs around the side roads that access our property. Eyes are on the next high tide tonight. May be a chance to see the full moon tonight, with the rain & most of the wind all passed now to the northwest, and no streetlights lit with 90% of South County without power. Quite a few have generators from having been through enough winter storms to bite the bullet & but one. I can’t believe our luck this time to keep power.
Tomorrow after work there will be new beginnings cleaning up all the downed limbs and branches and leaves in the yard & on the back decks & the rooves of the house & the shed. Also so thankful we dodged any major damage! Our neighbors did alright on that front, too. Some large limbs & trees came down, but nowhere onto anything to do damage. Thank you, God! Thanks as high as the moon!
