Some lovely components within your pick, MKK, a few of which are on my wish list – the prasiolite in particular.

Although I don’t have any children of my own, I was blessed to have a Mom who, despite her own difficult upbringing, was about the best mother one could ever have. I think of her always, but, especially today.

My heart hurts for those who haven’t experienced the same. I pray for those who may have lost a child, or who may be longing for their ‘prodigal’ to come home. Or, for the countless orphaned kids who are waiting for a Mom of their own.

Each year on this day, my dear, long-time friend (and mother of three) calls me up and wishes me a happy Mother’s Day anyway because, according to her, I’m a “Mom” to all of our various “fur and/or feathered-babies” (can’t forget the reptiles, either) :) That’s always fun to hear.

All of the above are true… and then there are those who grew up with an abusive parent.

Awesome pick – I understand your perspective. That prasiolite is awesome but oh so costly. I do have a ring with a prasiolitee stone. Its such a delicate green.

Yes…so true…that’s why I mentioned my own late mothwe, which is why I wrote my heart hearts for those who did not experience the same. I’m sorry if you think I missed your point. I didn’t.
I am fortunate my own mother didn’t allow her abuse to carry on through to the next generation.

I was thinking this exact thing as I sat in church yesterday and listened to the pastor talk about moms. Every year he does this, with good intentions, and every year I cringe inside for the people who are hurting. My family was dysfunctional mainly because my parents ruled by the iron rod when a little love might have gone a long way. I think a lot of it was ignorance with good intentions but to one of my brothers and me it felt like abuse.

And then there are also all the people I know who are aching to have children and are unable and that pain is acute.

I think your pick sums it up very well and I really appreciate you bringing this up and sharing with us. HUGS!!!

Many of us go through very different emotions on Mother’s Day.

Your pick is very well done to express your point – and you have some really nice beads in there! Try to stay positive. :)
