Description from Melody F: First, you open the clasp and attach the smaller piece to your stringing material. Whether you use crimps, bead tips, or tie knots inside the barrel clasp is your choice. Some methods work better with particular materials. Then string the beads, one of each type, in the order given from left to right, repeating the pattern as many times as it takes to make a very long necklace, one that hangs to your bellybutton when you put it on. At this point attach the larger half of the clasp. This kind of necklace can be worn long, or wrapped double or triple, or even 4 times, depending on the length you make it. If you want it to hang to a certain length, be sure to try it on before you attach it to the clasp at the end. A temporary knot at the far end, or a piece of tape will keep the beads from falling off the stringing material. This type of necklace is great for using up leftovers from other projects.
