Description from Frida: I feel sad today. Thinking of all crulety in the world. Saw this horrible awful pic on facebook, how people torture and kill animals. The people spreading this pictures often think that they can help to catch these monsters... But they forget that they also spread these pics to people that enjoyes them. Moreover, I becomes sick when seeing them, I cries and get panic... I think it's no good in spreading those pics. If one want to make change then one need to use pics that not some (people) wants because they enjoyes them... I dunno sometimes it feels like I give up on humanity... The one that spread this particular pic, understood my point and erased it. Actually I thinking of quitting facebook.

So sad...

You made a lovely pick to express your sadness – - am not a Facebook fan myself for lots of reasons. But I think of LB as my “social network” !

I stay away from social media of all sorts because of all the negativeness that is so often expressed there. Don’t need the unsettled emotions and anxiety it produces. Like Crazy Beader, Lima Beads is my social media. It’s a happy place to be!
I’ll say a prayer for you Frida, that peace soon fills your heart.

  4. Frida
    Frida says:

Thanks for your kind words. I’m not either a particular facebook fan, kept it to stay in touch with people far away. However it is more crap than joy I think. Lima is far better place! Do you hear dear staff at Lima?

I am totally with you on this, Frida. I saw a horrible pic on facebook and I cried for days. I’m not even going to tell you what it was but I made the person who posted it take it down. They were trying to show people something bad to get them to stop but just having to see the beginning of it ruined a whole week for me and I still have a hard time not thinking about it. I understand completely. Take care of yourself, sweetie. We are all animal lovers and there are a lot of people like us. this pick is beautiful-a fave! I hope it helped to make you feel a little better. :) !! xoxoxoxoxo!!!!

The world seems to be raging, but God is still ‘in charge’ ultimately & we can find pleasure & peace thru His gifts & eternal promise of a place where Evil is no more. Hope u got some sleep & feel better. Ps. Your pick is lovely. Big hugs across the miles to you.

Frida, thank you my dear, for sharing your deep feelings of distress over what you saw on facebook today, about some folks who were cruel to animals – so true, people do post a lot of stuff on it that does really affect others, often negatively – when images are very graphic and full of suffering, then they do not contribute to helping people change their thinking and acting – much XOXOXO to you!!

  14. Laud
    Laud says:

I’m on the same wavelength. My husband enjoys news–”Don’t you want to know what’s going on?” NO! It’s always something horrible happening to animals, children, women. How to stop all this???

Your pick, by the way, is lovely. Maybe adding positive thoughts and beauty to the world helps?

  15. Frida
    Frida says:

Thank you so much for your beautiful and warm thoughts, words and hugs. My eyes starts watering, you so kind.

    Hugs to you XOXOXOXOXO :)

It was exactly as Beckys experiencs. People share to catch these awful … but then they also do what they probably want, sharing their actions who they are proud of…
I sooo bad want them locked away for life… But how?
I can more distance my self to news and and pics that organizations use to make people aware of things, than these pics spread by anonymos persons.
If one wanna catch them, ok show their faces not their actions, or? I dunno…

    Thank you again :)

  16. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

I am with you, Frida. I don’t understand why people do the things they do to God’s creatures. Below is something I read a long time ago, and hopefully it is true, because everything we do in life eventually comes back to us.

There Is An Indian Legend Which Says When A Human Dies There Is A Bridge They Must Cross To Enter Into Heaven. At The Head Of That Bridge Waits Every Animal That Human Encountered During Their Lifetime. The Animals, Based Upon What They Know Of This Person, Decide Which Humans May Cross The Bridge…. And Which Are Turned Away…” ~ Unknown

Thank you so much Susie and Ann!

Susie that was a fantastic indian legend, thank you for sharing that!!

  20. S capobianco
    S capobianco says:

I think it is sad that many people today, especially the young ones, are losing the ability to empathize with others. Social skills are sorely lacking. Computers cannot replace human contact. We need to teach our children to care about the feelings of others. I feel Facebook and other social media can be a source of evil. That said, I do have a Facebook account but use it rarely.

  21. Granny Nancy
    Granny Nancy says:

Hello, now I know the source of you sadness Frida! How I can empathize with you. I hate the commercials I see on TV to get us to either adopt a pet or to support one. First of all, true animal lovers do not need to see the grossness of what happens to these animals to support organizations who care for them, etc. The minute one of those commercials come on, I turn off the sound and look away. I should write to them about that.

Anyway, I am sad today because I believe I lost my Lola. I’ll explain more tomorrow. I’m just too upset to explain.

Frida this is a lovely pick and I hope it makes its way into a POD – I’d love some of these stones.

I too dislike Facebook. I find so much of it ridiculous. I’ve been forced to use it it sometimes and when I’ve tried to use it for a good cause, it becomes chaos in knowing “how” to use it. Its so confusing. Perhaps its my old brain – I don’t know but I prefer coming here or just writing emails to people I really want to communicate to when a phone call isn’t possible.

Frida, I send my love to you this day that it will, along with all the other’s love shared here, serve to wipe away the sadness.

  22. Peggy3
    Peggy3 says:

I joked recently that LB is my social media. I have opted out of FB, even though that was main source of connection to my nieces and nephews throughout the US. :( .
There is a a lot of good out of there Frida! Please try not to focus on the negative. :) . I am a huge animal lover too. I joke I love animals more than people. :) .

Ok, so back to the good. I volunteer with an awesome animal shelter. I foster baby kitties until they find their forever homes. I am nothing in the scope of the sheleter operation. I work with so many amazing people who give so freely. Yay.

How bout I send you send pictures of my foster babies at my home and pictures from when they go to their forever home with their children and other fure babies? :::)))

There will always evil but I have to believe there is so much love and good out there.

  23. MaryLou
    MaryLou says:

Sending good thoughts your way, Frida… This is a gorgeous pick!

  24. Frida
    Frida says:

Thank you Nancy, Peggy and Mary!

Nancy, I’m so sorry about Lola… It’s so hard so hard… Hugs to you my friend. Nancy to clarify some, the picture wasn’t used by an organisation, it was those kind of pictures taken by some evil humans to show their proud work of evilness, then someone on the way use that picture to “please help us try to catch these persons”… A phenomen that has become more and more common on facebook. Don’t like most of the horrifying pictures used in commersial either. Dunno if this become more clear?

Peggy you are more than welcome to send pics of furbabies that is rescued to happy homes!
