“Texas Summer”

Description from doglover72: We have a lovely long hot summer. The only color comes from some very determined tropical plants and some cacti and their flowers. But then the rains come (sometimes too much!) and they fill the creeks and rivers, rush over the stones and everything turns green again!

Wow! Beautiful de-*pick*- tion of your hot arid summer! Texas has a special variety of lovely terrains. My husband and I visited his brother and his wife near Austin last January right before the COVID19 restrictions. We loved it and hope to go back when this pandemic is over.

We live near Austin, so you could see just what we look at every summer. The dry, hot with cactus flowers….and then the rain bringing everything back to life!

Congratulations. May I ask what part of Texas you live in? I have a very dear beader friend in Athens and my sweet baby brother lives in San Angelo. I don’t recall ever seeing the wood opalite stone. Its so very interesting and Job’s tear seeds is equally new to me.
