dolllady aka Pam says:Rodeos are so much fun! Just last night on a Texas program that explores the places of interest in the state, they highlighted a restaurant that also has a rodeo. The owner said he did it because there are so many Texans who had never seen a rodeo! My mouth dropped open. This small town born and bred Iowa girl has seen many more than Texas born and bred people.

Crystal Canary says:Love the vintage truck! There’s a fellow who lives in our neighborhood who has a truck just like this one. He slowly drives around enjoying the day with his cowboy hat & boots. We have a yearly rodeo in our area, but it’s been forever since we’ve been to it. All the horse elements really complete this pick along with the fringe leather. Love it!

EPBCornell says:Congrats on your aces rodeo POD, Kathryn! I could fall in love with such a young man, brave & strong & hardworking. Something about knowing how to work & communicate with horses, so strong & tough with wills of their own, impresses me about a rodeo man, too.
I’d like to see more of the rural Midwest/Heartland. I’ve only been to Des Moines and driven through on the main interstate on a trip to the Rockies in Colorado once in college with a friend from Madison, WI, one from Des Moines & another from New England like me. And I had to skip the Iowa State Fair while we were there (my friends went with Annie’s parents) because I had to meet a deadline to sew a bunch of wild, colorful fleece hats my aunt had commissioned of me for fundraiser centerpieces, so I missed any rodeo shows & giant butter sculptures. I still regret missing that fair. Some year I will make it to the Big E out in western Massachusetts, at least. That’s about the nearest thing in scale around here. It was this past weekend, but we were visiting my husband’s older brother in the Catskills of NY while his younger brother & family came out for a visit from Mesa, AZ. Maybe next year for the Big E & I hope they have a little rodeo along with all the oxen pulls and other livestock events.
Definitely some nice haves in this pick– I’d score me that mint pickup if I didn’t already have one!
