Love it! I have just started using the patinas and am having fun with them. I haven’t found the reliefing block to work very well, though. Have you found anything that works better, or any tricks to make this one work better? I find that I can’t control the location of where it does most of its work very well, and it also seems just not to do much. I really like the toggle you chose here, too.

By the way – have you made the necklace yet? Would love to see it when you have finished!

The necklace is post. My agate came out of my bff’s stash. But this is close.

Refining block….I went thru about 4 and then went to a local beauty supply store and found an alternative in the nail section.

Thanks for the tip! It’s good to know that it’s not just my technique, because otherwise I would have kept trying for ages. I’ll look around for some other options.

Thanks for the pick, photos and tips. I have been meaning to dip my toe into trying some patina but have been hesitant …

This is a great compliment to your necklace. And I too use a nail buffing block (4 sides) instead of the Vintaj pad! You can start with the rough side to take off the patina, and work you way to the buffing part. Plus it is very flexible and lets you do a little or a lot.
