“Water Lily”

Description from Maggies Mom: I fell in love with the Water Lily trica beads and tried to keep the softness, but added a bit of color.

This is so lovely. I do love the trica beads. This pick should surely be a POD. I’d love 2 strands of these for a necklace. The softness of this pick really pulls the eye towards it just as if it were all bold, bright colors. Interesting!

Congratulations on your breathtaking POD! It is almost too lovely for words, but all of the above comments have spoken my sentiments, too.
I just cashed in and I’m going to make a multi-strand necklace with mixed-up sections of seafoam line agate, Madagascar rose quartz and those gorgeous water lily trica beads twisted together into one big watery rope. For my beautiful friend Jaye, who wears soft colors so well. All your vision, really. Just some assembly required.

A trick with multi-strand necklaces or bracelets: If you put some twist in the same direction into the stringing wires before crimping them at the finish end, your multiple strands will twist up together naturally and hold the twist. The more you twist the wire before crimping, the tighter the strands will twist up. Try to put about the same number of turns into each strand. Note that this will shorten up the necklace from the length of an individual strand, especially if you have a lot of strands. And note that keeping the strands from twisting up during construction or wire from untwisting before crimping (the first strand you can actually just crimp and then twist the clasp or connector to twist it when you’re ready to twist and fasten the second strand) is not as easy in practice as it sounds conceptually.

Wow, thanks for that info, EPBCornell – I’ll have to read it a few times to get it, but I’m sure I can do it. I would never have thought to twist the cord/wire … thanks for typing all that out for us! I splurged and bought everything that wasn’t sold out, so you have inspired me! :D

Congratulations on your delightfully beautiful POD. Its a shame so many of the beads are sold out. But I managed to get a few and I already have one – maybe 2 that I’ll use next year for spring.
