Description from arielswaves: I grew up walking down wooded paths in Michigan each summer, and coming home with deep purple hands, after picking ((and eating!) wild blackberries. I live in Texas now, but still spend a few months in Michigan’s peaceful woods each summer. Blackberry bramble-lined trails make me so nostalgic!

This brings me back to my childhood in Louisiana. We would walk along the RR tracks picking blackberries. My grandmother would freeze them and we would have it with cream and sugar. Seeing this made me think of her. Thank you for sharing it.

dolllady aka Pam says:Gorgeous pick! I now live in Texas also after living the first half of my life in Iowa. Your pick reminds me of our city park growing up. It wasn’t blackberries there but mulberries. They went straight to our tummies as we walked around the spring Fed lake.

My best friend and I always picked blackberries and made sure we had enough for each mother to make blackberry cobbler for us.
