Beautifully done! When I first glanced at this pick, I thought Merlot. I love the TC pendants and charms…anything celestrial is right up my alley. Lol I already placed my order for the sun and moon pendants.

Very nice! I love the deep plum/cream color combination as much as those Sun and Moon pendants! BevB, I’m with you on loving all things celestial!!

Doing fine. Worked on canning some this season, and cross stitching gifts.

Congrats on your both elegant & robust POD, Creel U! Perfect palette and components for the puissant lady ascending. Also loving your Night Traveller series– the bracelet you posted to the gallery is brilliant! Very glad to see you back on LB after a while! Would love to see some of your cross stitching, too, even though this is a beading/jewelry site. I did a bit of needlepoint once upon a time, and knitting, and clothes/dressmaking w/ or w/o bead embellishment, and I love any fiberwork, weaving, stitchwork, etc. Just been a very long time since I’ve ventured to make anything fiber-wise. I’m very impressed you are making gifts this year! Impressed with the canning, too. Where do you find the time & energy & impetus? All I can manage is to muster a few minutes of interest to look at Lima Beads before or after work until I want to go back to bed!

EPBCornell, I find the time because I have bipolar and am not working. Not sure I would trade because I love having time, though, little money for my crafty pursuits. Thank you for your belief in the Night Traveller series. To me it is a woman adventuring in the shadows. A mistress? A woman of Romany descent? A teenager out past midnight in hopes of encountering the Old Ones? rich colors muted in the night.

Still love this strong pick … congrats on your POD!
I imagine that if a poll was taken, we all will have done needlework at sometime in our lives. As the hands age, some loves get behind. I have not done counted cross-stitch for some years … probably should try it again.

    EPBCornell says:

Creel U, I understand the bipolar struggles — me, too. It does make work very difficult at times, and I have been very lucky to be in a position and invaluable enough at what I do where I do it that my workplace has been able to afford me a reduced schedule or brief stretches of unpaid medical leave when I have been in the depths. Somehow the work gets done and I usually can hold myself together ok until the workload slows. But I am at a point right now where I could really use another break. I’m not in the hopeless depths as I’ve felt before, I’m just wiped out & feeling like I’m spinning my wheels & not making any progress on anything, at work or anywhere in my life. Nothing is getting done with any efficiency whatsoever. My behavioral therapist said it was a depressive failure of executive function in the brain. Making decisions. Transitioning tasks. Initiating action. That sort of thing.
Your cross stitch pillows are wonderful, and rather ambitious, in my opinion. I would love to get one that I could have out on the carved rocker or side chair every season to get me in the spirit & remind me of you. The kitties are fabulous, too. Have you stuffed them with balsam fir needles or something else to be a sachet? My mother gave me one of these for Christmas 2 ago & I loved it — it was a cat, too, sort of, but not as cute a shape as yours.

Congratulations, Creel U, on your intriguing and darkly beautiful Night Traveler POD. I’m glad that more positive attention is being paid to mental health awareness these days. Covid has made everyting especially difficult. But thank you and Liz for the courage to talk about the challenges that affect you and so many of us. Creating is healing. Creating is overcoming. Let’s just keep creating.
