Description from Beady Little Eyes: Ran across this poem and wanted to share part of it with all of you.
Equipment - By Edgar Guest
You can triumph and come to skill,
You can be great if only you will,
You're well equipped for what fight you choose,
You have legs and arms and a brain to use,
And the man who has risen, great deeds to do
Began his life with no more than you.

Crystal Canary says:Awesome poem! We all have what it takes to succeed. I see your pick and think of all we can dream & achieve if only we put our minds to it. We have lots of time right now to do a little of that dreaming & reaching out to the stars. Very nice Beady!

Robin nursechick says:A great pick Beady-lots to work with. Love the poem too. E. Guest was one of the peoples poets. People could relate to his poetry. He has a great poem called “Father”. His father had all the opinions and “fixes” for problems, but his mother did the hands on work! Funny irony!

Beady Little Eyes says:Thank you all.
Robin – It seems he wrote a lot of poems about parenting. I love the poem “Father” also.
