Granny Nancy says:Obviously you live up north or have. I did until 1994. Winters there are as bad in NY as they are further north or in Maine. But they were/are cold enough with ice from having rained during the day. Then it would snow and melt – snow and melt. We never had enough salt for our long hilly driveway. But you surely captured the essence of a dark wintry day. I can’t call it beautiful but it surely has a very accurate feel.
